Welcome to Fishing & Hunting.co.uk

What a great day out at Fairview, met up with Tommo loaded the fishing bus and set off around 7ish on a cold and cloudy morning, Tommo once again managed to get us there with the help of Mr sat nav,"take no notice Bill I know a shortcut" said Tommo well after passing the same spot 3 times it was time to switch it back on, so we arrived safely, we managed to get our stuff to the first 2 pegs and no sooner turned around and we were greeted by George juggla. George being the gentleman he is gave me 2 rods that he started carping with a few years back, but as they were collecting dust he kindly passed them on to me,thank you George. We all set up and I decided to make a warm drink, but before we knew it George was having a few good runs and takes and then connected with the first fish of the day... So that was the sign for things to come, around 1 hour later Tommo had a good take and it ended in a p.b of around 8lbs the smile says it all.... Both fellas were egging me on, "come on Bill hurry up and catch one" well I tried had a run but pulled out of it, by this time the weather was warming up and it was a very pleasant day,you would not think it was November. Just before lunch I got a take and managed to catch my first ever pike ,not a record breaker but still a record for me...... Now Because I was so giddy I made the dinner my special Billy's Chilli, we all tucked in and finished the whole pan full in no time at all didn't you Tom and while George and Tom tried to catch some more live bait, while letting their dinner digest, I cast out only to get an instant run,but pulled out, recast and wallop! again this time I managed to back a jack pike that thought it was one of the big fellas, chuffed again ;D George was getting some very good runs but try as he could they seemed to let go whatever he did, Tommo on the other hand paid for one peg to fish from but seemed to be having problems with directions once again, without the aid of sat nav :D and fished every likely pike looking holding spot on the venue to no avail, as the light dropped we packed up and bid George farewell and thanked him for his company, then off on another Tommo mystery tour, this time he came up with the jackpot, he managed to get us to a pub and sort me out with a fantastic mixed grill, cheers pal, well dropped him off back at home and to end a perfect day, I am still smiling now, good weather, good fishing, good food and great company what more can you ask for
